Job Summary 

The PV Analyst will help with work related to Pharmacovigilance. The work involves finding, writing down looking at and dealing with safety information about medicines. The job needs to handle reaction information correctly. It also needs to follow the rules what the client wants and the safety laws. The analyst will help with handling cases making sure the data is good writing down the details and finishing work on time. The job gives experience with global drug safety and working with others in healthcare.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Look at reactions from information that comes in.

  • Help with processing Individual Case Safety Reports.

  • Put safety information into Pharmacovigilance databases.

  • Check case. Make sure it is correct.

  • Help with MedDRA coding and terms where needed.

  • Check if case information is complete and matches.

  • Keep correct records for each case.

  • Follow the company rules what the client wants and the Pharmacovigilance rules.

  • Meet the targets for how much work's done how good the work is and how fast it is done.

  • Tell others when there are problems missing information or safety issues.

  • Help with cases that're not complete.

  • Keep information safe. Make sure the data is correct during the whole process.

Educational Qualification 

  • Pharm.D, M.Pharm, B.Pharm, M.Sc.. Another related Life Sciences or Healthcare qualification might also be accepted.

  • People with knowledge in Pharmacology, Clinical Pharmacy, Pharmacovigilance or Drug Safety will do well in this job.

Skills Required 

  • Understanding of Pharmacovigilance basics

  • Processing of ICSR cases

  • Finding Events and Serious Adverse Events

  • Knowledge of MedDRA terms

  • Understanding of medical terms

  • Looking at safety data

  • Checking literature and safety information

  • Knowledge of ICH and GVP rules

  • Knowing what the rules say about reporting

  • Knowing how to use Pharmacovigilance databases
