Job Summary  

This role sits inside the ICSR Management unit at PrimeVigilance, located in Pune. This is a role for a PV Officer. The PV Officer will process safety reports. They will support medical device vigilance activities, within agreed timelines. The PV Officer will handle case intake, quality checks and coding while also supporting client reporting needs. The PV Officer will also mentor team members and manage daily workflow within the department.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Process individual Case Safety Reports from all sources, following required regulations and timelines.

  • Carry out follow up work on safety reports as needed.

  • Support SAE and SUSAR management, including protocol review and safety plan checks.

  • Handle reconciliation work across clinical and partner data.

  • Manage intake, triage, and processing of medical device safety and incident reports.

  • Run quality checks on medical device cases to ensure accuracy and consistency.

  • Follow personal data protection rules at every stage of case handling.

  • Support product quality complaint handling alongside the Quality Assurance team.

  • Apply MedDRA and WHO coding standards to safety data.

  • Prepare database outputs and reports, including monthly client reporting.

  • Support workflow planning and resource management within the team.

  • Mentor and train new or junior team members.

Educational Qualification 

  • A degree in Life sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, or another healthcare related field.

  • Relevant pharmacovigilance experience can also be considered in place of a specific degree.

Skills Required 

  • Demonstrated experience in pharmacovigilance and medical device vigilance.

  • Good understanding of EU MDR 2017/745 and medical device vigilance concepts.

  • Experience working with global or European medical device cases and safety databases.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Good organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking.

  • Strong planning, time management, and delegation skills.

  • Good technical skills and comfort working within a team.

  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office.
