Business Development Manager - Employer Partnerships (Healthcare & Pharma Talent)
About the Role
Business Development Manager - Employer Partnerships (Healthcare & Pharma Talent)
Location: Hyderabad / Dehradun (Hybrid) | Experience: 5–10+ Years | Reports to: Founder, Dr. Akram Ahmad
The Supply Problem Is Solved. We Need Someone to Solve Demand.
Academically Global has spent since 2022 building something most staffing companies would kill for: a 1M+ community of doctors, pharmacists, dentists and allied professionals, many of them trained through our own certification programs in pharmacovigilance, clinical research, medical affairs, and regulatory affairs. That's the hard part, done.
What's missing is you, the person who walks into a pharma company's Talent Acquisition office, or a CRO's HR lead's inbox, and makes the case that Jobslly should be their default source for pre-qualified, Academically-trained healthcare talent, not an afterthought job board they post to once and forget.
What You'll Actually Do
Open doors, not tickets. Identify and pitch HR/TA leaders at pharma companies, CROs, medtech firms, and healthcare insurers, convince them that hiring Academically-trained candidates through Jobslly means faster, better-qualified pipelines than generic job boards.
Turn one deal into a standing relationship. The goal isn't a single job posting, it's becoming the company's named recruitment partner for healthcare/pharma corporate roles: pharmacovigilance, medical writing, clinical operations, regulatory affairs, medical affairs, insurance underwriting/claims for health lines.
Build the playbook as you go. Set up the outbound process, pitch materials, and CRM pipeline from scratch, there's no existing employer-sales machine to inherit, which means the machine you build is yours.
Prove the model, then scale it. Once you're consistently closing employer partnerships, this role grows into building and leading a small B2B team under you, that's the trajectory, not a day-one expectation.
What You Bring
5–10+ years in B2B sales, business development, or account management - staffing, HR-tech, or recruitment-agency experience is a strong plus, healthcare/pharma industry exposure even stronger.
A genuine track record of opening new employer/client relationships from cold outreach - not just managing accounts someone else won, bring specific numbers to the conversation.
Comfort being the first salesperson in the room, no existing playbook, no inherited pipeline, no team yet to lean on.
Graduate; MBA or a life-sciences background is a plus, not a requirement.
What's on Offer
Best Salary + uncapped, placement/revenue-linked incentives.
A real 0→1 build, not a seat on an existing desk, with a defined path to leading the employer-partnerships function as it grows.
The single strongest supply-side pitch in Indian healthcare recruitment: a 1M+ trained community and a founder with genuine reach in the space you're selling into.
To apply: send your resume with one specific example of a company relationship you opened from zero, and what it turned into.
