Job Summary
An Analyst position is advertised for its Medtech Insights department in Bengaluru, India. This job would be ideal for those having interest in market research, medical device technologies, and health care market. The analyst will carry out analysis and research using both primary as well as secondary research techniques. Besides, the individual will undertake competitive analysis, clinical trials analysis, financial analysis, forecasting, and market trend analysis. Using these studies, the analyst will prepare market research reports and provide inputs into consulting assignments for medical devices and health care companies. The team comprises 25 people divided amongst 3 teams in India with each team headed by a manager.
Key Responsibilities
Speak with industry professionals and medical experts to collect useful market insights.
Manage online and face-to-face surveys with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Search Clarivate’s internal research database and library to find relevant information and supporting data.
Use financial reporting documents, regulatory papers, and government resources to obtain critical information regarding medical approval.
Create models and forecast of medical technology, pharmaceutical, and health care industry markets.
Create integration of diverse forms of data from various sources into one market model.
Convert qualitative data including expert opinion and consumer reaction to quantitative data.
Create market trend and competitive behavior assumptions through primary and secondary market research.
Perform database analysis and use MS Excel application for the analysis of the data.
Create forecasts regarding future market trends based on market developments, technological advancements, new products launched and more.
Find out about trends, anomalies, and outliers through time-series analysis in tables, graphs, and charts.
Create reports regarding market research conducted through analysis and acquired data.
Create market insights to explain market trends and numbers.
Create competitor analysis reports through primary and secondary market research.
Provide numerical data in tables, graphs, and text.
Develop possible views on competitor strategies in different healthcare markets.
Study the market opportunity for medical products across different countries and regions.
Analyze important qualitative trends across different medical technology and healthcare sectors.
Carry out focused research based on specific medical technologies or geographic markets.
Qualifications and Skills
Must-Have Skills
A candidate should have at least a post-graduate qualification in either a Master of Science or a Master of Business Administration, having a minimum of two to four years of professional experience in one of the following domains: market research, health care research, data analysis, consulting, or any related field.
Good knowledge about the use of MS Excel for managing and analyzing data.
Sound knowledge of techniques used in market research or any other related experience.
Good critical thinking and analytical capabilities with problem-solving ability.
Excellent skills of making presentations along with sound written communication skills.
Candidates who can complete tasks with quality and speed and under deadline pressure.
Capable of working independently and in a team.
Should have business sense to help in the sales process.
Bonus Skills
Familiarity with therapy area in at least one market for medical devices.
Expert knowledge in using Microsoft Excel, especially pivot tables, VLOOKUP, advanced formulas, and data organization.
Knowledge of SQL and Python.
Experience in market research and consulting in the medical device industry or related analytical roles.
