Every role is hired on different things: a nurse on units and registration, a pharmacovigilance associate on ICSR and MedDRA, a medical representative on targets. Each guide below shows the right resume format, an example, the skills to list and the mistakes to avoid.
With no job history yet, your degree, internship and clinical postings do the work. Keep it to one page and use this order:
A resume is a one or two page summary for job applications, and it is what most hospitals, clinics and pharma companies expect. A CV is longer and lists everything, including research, publications and conferences; doctors applying for residency or consultant posts often use one. A biodata adds personal details such as date of birth and family, and is rarely asked for in healthcare hiring now.
Use the Medical CV design for an academic CV, and any other design for a resume.
Large hospital chains, CROs and staffing firms screen applications with ATS software before a person reads them. To get through:
Every resume made here downloads as a text PDF, and the job match check shows which terms you are missing.
Recruiters usually spend under a minute on a first read. They look for your qualification, your registration, where you have worked and what you can do on your own. Make those easy to find.
Then put it to work: doctor jobs, nursing jobs, pharmacist jobs and pharmacovigilance jobs.
Medical, nursing, pharmacy and dental council numbers are checked before shortlisting. Put yours near the top.
Write "Staff Nurse, Medical ICU, 1:2 ratio" or "40+ casualty patients per shift" rather than "good clinical experience".
List them as skills: IV cannulation, ventilator care, Argus, MedDRA, RVG.
BLS and ACLS for clinical roles; GCP, PV or medical coding courses for corporate roles.
Use the job’s own words where they are true for you. The job match check shows which ones you are missing.
Yes, completely. Build and edit your resume without signing in. To download the PDF, create a free Jobslly account (it takes under a minute). Your resumes are then saved to your account and you can get matching job alerts.
Yes. Upload a PDF or Word (.docx) file and the builder fills in your details, experience, education and skills. The file is read on your own device and is not uploaded anywhere. Check each section afterwards: resumes are laid out in many different ways and a detail can occasionally land in the wrong place.
Yes. The PDF is made of real, selectable text with standard section headings, which is what ATS software reads. If you are applying to a large hospital chain or CRO, the Clinical Classic and Clean Minimal designs are the safest.
While you edit, it is saved in your browser on this device. Once you have a free account it is also saved to your Jobslly account, so you can open and edit it on any device. We do not share it with employers unless you apply to a job.
Reverse-chronological: your most recent job first. Put your registration details near the top, then experience, internship or rotations, education, skills and certifications. One to two pages is enough for most roles.
Yes. Use Duplicate to copy a resume, then tailor the copy using the job match check. You can keep up to 15 resumes.
A one-page, reverse-chronological resume that leads with your degree, internship or clinical postings, registration (or "registration in process"), skills and certifications. Use the Healthcare Fresher template, or the template for your role.
Not quite. In India a resume is a 1 to 2 page summary for jobs; a CV is longer and lists everything, including research and publications (common for doctors); a biodata adds personal details like date of birth and family, and is rarely needed for healthcare jobs today. This builder makes resumes and medical CVs.
Yes. Create a free Jobslly account and download a clean PDF in A4 size. The text in the PDF is real text, so hospital and CRO applicant tracking systems can read it.
It is optional in India and usually not expected by corporate, pharma or international employers. The templates leave the photo out so the resume stays clean and ATS-friendly.
Private by default. Only shared when you apply to a job.
