Job Summary  

This role is based in Kolkata, within Abbott's Medical and Clinical Affairs team. As a Regional Medical Advisor, you will provide scientific and medical support to the field, without being involved in direct sales work. You will report to the Senior Manager RMA or Head RMA and support clinical studies and medical projects in your assigned area. The role also involves close contact with doctors and opinion leaders.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Follow all local and global laws, guidelines, and company policies in every activity

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders and academic centers

  • Share current medical and scientific information related to therapy areas and products

  • Plan and deliver engaging scientific sessions for doctors and specialists

  • Support the setup and follow up of clinical studies and medical projects

  • Help run post marketing activities such as registries, surveys, and phase four studies

  • Give clear, unbiased scientific presentations to doctors, one on one or in groups

  • Take part in choosing qualified doctors for research work, lectures, or meetings

  • Maintain high scientific and educational standards in all collaborative work

Educational Qualification 

  • A medical or scientific degree, such as MBBS, MD, or a related life sciences qualification.

  • Additional clinical or pharmaceutical training is an added advantage.

Skills Required 

  • Strong knowledge of the assigned therapy area.

  • Good management and organizational skills.

  • Clear and confident communication skills.

  • Strong compliance awareness and attention to process.

  • Good problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
