SEO Executive - Jobslly
About the Role
SEO Executive - Jobslly
Location: Dehradun (Hybrid) | Experience: 2–3 Years | Reports to: Product Manager/Founder, Dr. Akram Ahmad
The Job Board That Refuses to Be Generic
Every healthcare professional in India has typed "pharmacovigilance jobs near me" into Google at 11pm, scrolled through five pages of irrelevant results, and given up. Jobslly exists to be the answer they should have found on page one.
Built by Academically Global since 2022, and backed by founder Dr. Akram Ahmad's 1M+ following across the healthcare education space, Jobslly isn't trying to out-rank Naukri or LinkedIn at "jobs in India." We're trying to own the specific searches that generic portals ignore - "clinical research associate jobs Hyderabad," "medical affairs certificate jobs remote," "CRO recruitment for pharmacists." That's a fundamentally different SEO problem than a general job board, and it's exactly why this role exists.
What You'll Actually Own
This isn't a "post meta descriptions and wait" role. You'll be the person who decides which 200 healthcare-specific search queries we go after in your first quarter, and why.
Own the long-tail, not just the homepage. Build and execute keyword strategy across specialty × location × job-type combinations most competitors don't bother targeting properly.
Turn our course catalogue into a traffic engine. Academically's 50+ courses (USMLE, OPRA, Clinical Drug Development, Medical Affairs) each represent a content and backlink opportunity most job boards don't have - you'll build the bridge between "someone searching how to become a CRA" and "someone applying for a CRA job on Jobslly."
Fix what's actually broken first. Technical SEO audit in week one, site speed, indexation, schema markup for job postings (this alone often moves the needle more than content on job boards, since Google treats job listings differently in search).
Build authority where it matters. Backlinks and mentions from pharma, CRO, and healthcare-education publications, not generic guest-post farms.
Report on what counts. Weekly tracking against real targets (below), not vanity metrics.
The Number You're Hired to Move
Target: grow qualified organic sessions by 3x within your first 12 months, with the first 90 days focused on technical foundations and quick-win keyword capture before the compounding content/backlink strategy kicks in.
(We'll set the exact baseline and month-by-month milestones together in week one against current Search Console data, if you've done this before, you know why a 3x target needs a real diagnostic first, not a number pulled from thin air.)
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree (any discipline, we care more about how you think about search intent than your major)
2–3 years hands-on SEO experience, ideally with at least one project where you took organic traffic from a specific, measurable starting point to a specific, measurable result, bring the numbers to the interview
Working fluency in Google Search Console, GA4, and at least one of Ahrefs/SEMrush
Comfortable reading a bit of HTML/schema markup, even if you're not writing code daily
Bonus, not required: any exposure to healthcare, pharma, or recruitment-industry content, you'll pick up the domain fast either way, but it helps
Why This Role, Specifically
You'll work directly with the founder, not three layers removed from decision-making. You're joining at the stage where your SEO strategy is the growth strategy, not a line item in someone else's roadmap - Jobslly is still small enough that the keyword list you build this quarter could still be the backbone of how the platform gets discovered two years from now.
