Admissions Counsellor - Healthcare EdTech
About the Role
About us
Academically Global is a fast-growing healthcare EdTech platform. We help doctors, pharmacists, dentists, physiotherapists, nurses and allied health professionals move into high-demand industry roles and build international careers.
The company is led by Dr. Akram Ahmad, PhD, a healthcare career educator with a community of over a million professionals worldwide. Our head office is in Sydney, Australia, with Indian corporate offices in Dehradun (a green, hill-surrounded city that's a genuinely pleasant place to work) and Hyderabad.
The role
We're hiring an Admissions Counsellor who believes in consultative, ethical selling — someone who enjoys helping healthcare professionals think through their career options.
To be clear about what this is not: this is not a pressure-sales role. Our learners are qualified doctors and pharmacists making significant decisions about their futures. Your job is to understand where they are, explain their options honestly, and enrol the ones we can genuinely help. Trust first, target second.
What you'll counsel for

Pharmacovigilance and drug safety
Medical reviewer roles

What you'll do
Handle inbound and outbound enquiries across calls, WhatsApp and email
Maintain a high daily call volume (approximately 100 calls / ~2 hours talk time)
Give personalised, honest career counselling to healthcare professionals
Meet monthly enrolment targets through genuine value, not pressure
Keep CRM records accurate and follow structured counselling frameworks
Follow up reliably - most of our enrolments come from patient, consistent follow-up
Recommend the right programme for each learner's profile, including cross-programme fit
Work with the marketing, academic and product teams
Who we're looking for
0–5 years in EdTech admissions or inside sales. Freshers are welcome, we'll train you.
Experience selling upskilling or professional courses is a plus, not a requirement
Strong communication and listening skills, counselling is mostly listening
Comfortable owning a lead from first contact to enrolment
Familiar with CRM tools and structured follow-up
Target-driven, but learner-first when the two pull in different directions
Bachelor's degree in any discipline
What you'll get
Competitive fixed salary plus performance incentives
Direct mentorship from Dr. Akram Ahmad
A clear growth path to Senior Counsellor and Team Lead
A fast-moving, supportive team
Real impact, you'll see the careers you helped change
Why join us
Most sales roles ask you to sell something forgettable.
Here, you'll speak with a dentist earning ₹20,000 a month, a doctor exhausted by exam cycles, a pharmacist who wants to work abroad. You'll help them see options they didn't know existed and some of them will tell you, a year later, that the conversation changed everything.
