 Job Summary 

This job is about writing code for information that is being used in studies at Indero. As someone who codes information you will take medical words and medicines and turn them into code using special systems, like MedDRA and WHO Drug. You will also help with work related to handling data making sure that information is gathered kept and shared in a clear and safe way. The job follows rules and the companys own ways of doing things all the time.

 Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead and carry out accurate coding of medical terms using MedDRA and WHO Drug.

  • Oversee the setup of coding modules for assigned studies.

  • Define and manage coding conventions and synonym lists across studies.

  • Check and confirm sponsor coding licenses.

  • Act as Lead Coder, coordinating coding work across multiple studies at once.

  • Manage coding priorities and balance workload across timelines.

  • Support the coding section of Data Management Plans.

  • Handle dictionary updates and related upgrade activities.

  • Test and validate coding setups, reports, and database checks.

  • Support data review work and resolve data queries on time.

  • Stay in close contact with Data Management Leads, CRAs, and other partners.

 Educational Qualification 

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Nursing, or a related field.

 Skills Required 

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in clinical data coding.

  • Good knowledge of medical terminology and coding dictionaries like MedDRA and WHO Drug.

  • Experience with query management and electronic data capture systems.

  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills.

  • Good multitasking skills, with the ability to meet deadlines across global teams.

  • Familiarity with GCP, FDA, or Health Canada guidelines is a plus.

 Salary Structure 

The salary for a Clinical Data Coder role at Indero ranges from ₹4.5 to ₹7.5 Lakhs Per Annum (LPA).
