Job Summary  

The Clinical Data Specialist helps data management projects by reviewing trial data finding discrepancies creating and solving queries and doing reconciliation work. The role works closely with the Data Management Lead to keep data complete and of high quality during study timelines and client requirements. Responsibilities also include supporting Data Management Plans, edit‑check specifications, eCRF specifications, database setup, data listings, documentation and database lock activities while following GCP, protocols and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Check clinical trial data following Data Management Plans and Data Review Guidelines.

  • Spot inconsistent, incomplete or wrong clinical data.

  • Create, track and solve data queries.

  • Do data reconciliation and review discrepancy work.

  • Check quality of clinical data listings.

  • Run listings and reports to help data review.

  • Help with Data Management Plans and Data Review Guidelines.

  • Check edit‑check and database specifications.

  • Assist with eCRF specification development and database setup.

  • Help with database testing and clinical data management system work.

  • Assist with Database Lock and Unlock activities.

  • Keep project documentation and eTMF records when needed.

  • Make study status reports for sponsor meetings.

  • Work with project teams. Help deliver study results on time.

  • Help train team members on project‑specific data management processes.

  • Make sure activities follow protocols, GCP, SOPs and client requirements.

Educational Qualification 

  • University or college degree in Life Sciences, Health Sciences, Information Technology or a related field.

  • Certification in a health profession may also be considered.

  • Knowledge of research, medical terminology and therapeutic areas is helpful.

  • The position requires 3–5 years of experience in Clinical Data Management.
