Job Summary
The Clinical Research Associate II will manage trial sites from start to finish including qualifying sites starting visits, monitoring, managing day‑to‑day work and closing sites. The Clinical Research Associate II will make sure that study rules, ICH‑GCP, all laws and company procedures are followed will check how well sites perform and will fix any compliance problems. Also confirms that informed consent is correct. Help keep audit readiness strong. Talk with investigators and project teams. Join meetings and training. Keep safety, privacy and data quality at the level every time.
Key Responsibilities
The Clinical Research Associate II conducts site qualification, site initiation, interim monitoring, site management and close‑out visits.
Performs monitoring activities either from a distance or on site.
Evaluates site and investigator performance against study requirements.
Identifies compliance concerns. Informs the project team of serious issues.
Follows corrective or preventive action plans, verifies informed‑consent processes and documentation.
Protects confidentiality and supports patient safety.
Ensures compliance with ICH‑GCP, GPP, protocols, regulations and SOPs.
Acts as a liaison between study sites and project teams.
Ensures that assigned sites and site personnel receive required training.
Participates in investigator meetings, sponsor meetings, monitoring meetings and clinical training.
Supports audit readiness, preparation and follow‑up activities.
Maintains study‑related documentation and monitoring records.
For Real World Late Phase activities the Clinical Research Associate II supports site lifecycle management, chart abstraction, data collection and work with sponsor and local teams.
Educational Qualification
Bachelor’s degree or Registered Nurse (RN) in a relevant field or equivalent education, training and experience.
At 3 years of onsite monitoring experience in global clinical trials.
1–2 Years of Oncology experience is preferred.
Experience in Neuroscience, Haematology, Cardiovascular or Rare Disease is also preferred.
Knowledge of ICH‑GCP and applicable requirements.
Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
Strong computer skills, willingness to adopt new technologies.
Skills Required
Strong knowledge of trial monitoring and site management.
Understanding of ICH‑GCP, GPP, study protocols, SOPs and regulatory requirements.
Ability to review consent documentation and support patient safety.
Knowledge of data quality, documentation and audit readiness.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent problem‑solving, decision‑making and analytical abilities.
Organization and time‑management skills.
Ability to identify, document and escalate site compliance issues.
Proficiency with research technologies and computer applications.
Knowledge of Oncology, Neuroscience, Haematology, Cardiovascular or Rare Disease is an advantage.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with investigators and project teams.
Willingness to undertake travel as required by the role.
Salary Structure
The average salary for a Clinical Research Associate (CRA) II in India ranges from ₹6 Lakhs to ₹9 Lakhs per year, depending on experience and location.
