Job Summary
This remote role focuses on supporting pharmacovigilance and vigilance data management activities. As a Data Officer, you will manage vigilance cases, maintain databases, and generate required reports. Your work will include coding cases, preparing narratives, and supporting submissions to health authorities. The role also involves contributing to process improvement initiatives while keeping strong compliance with pharmacovigilance regulations and internal company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Manage shared and client specific vigilance mailboxes.
Register vigilance cases in internal tracking systems.
Perform duplicate searches within safety databases.
Conduct initial triage and data entry for vigilance cases.
Code medical information using MedDRA terminology.
Prepare and update clear case narratives.
Ensure patient data stays properly anonymized when required.
Support follow up requests and help close cases on time.
Assess case seriousness and required submission actions.
Submit cases to Competent Authorities, Ethics Committees, and Affiliates as needed.
Generate reports and listings from safety databases.
Support database searches, extractions, and reconciliation activities.
Support KPI tracking and regular activity monitoring.
Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual activity reports.
Support EudraVigilance activities, including ICSR downloads and submissions.
Perform XEVMPD updates and related submissions.
Support reporting activities for MHRA, FDA, and other health authorities.
Take part in new client project implementation.
Support process optimization and documentation updates.
Help maintain audit readiness and support inspections when needed.
Educational Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, Dentistry, or a related scientific field.
Skills Required
Experience in pharmacovigilance, drug safety, case processing, regulatory affairs, or database management is an advantage.
Knowledge of pharmacovigilance regulations and safety databases is preferred.
Good understanding of MedDRA coding and EudraVigilance processes.
Strong database management and data entry skills.
Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Good critical thinking and analytical mindset.
Strong communication skills and a team oriented approach.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Salary Structure
The average salary for a Data Officer at ProductLife Group in India ranges from ₹3.4 Lakhs to ₹5.6 Lakhs per year.
