 Job Summary  

This role focuses on processing Individual Case Safety Reports in line with regulatory and client requirements. As a Drug Safety Associate, you will identify serious adverse events, code case data, and draft clinical narratives. Your work will also include quality checks and case validation to keep data accurate and compliant. The role offers strong mentorship and hands on training within a growing pharmacovigilance team.

 Key Responsibilities 

  • Process Individual Case Safety Reports from all sources following regulations and timelines.

  • Identify adverse events and special cases such as pregnancy and product quality complaints.

  • Enter adverse event data accurately and consistently from source documents.

  • Code adverse events, medical history and lab data with MedDRA terminology.

  • Code suspect and concomitant products following client and regulatory guidelines.

  • Draft narratives summarizing key details of each case.

  • Spot missing clinical information and help collect it through follow‑up.

  • Handle labeling for serious and non‑serious cases.

  • Manage urgent case processing requests from clients when needed.

  • Follow SOPs and pharmacovigilance guidelines to keep compliance and data integrity.

  • Stay updated on industry changes and new safety reporting requirements.

  • Support training and mentorship for case processing associates.

  • Perform quality control reviews of case reports including reportability checks.

  • Review case data, coding and narratives against original source documents.

  • Confirm product coding, seriousness and case assessment accuracy.

  • Support development of pharmacovigilance tools and training resources.

 Educational Qualification 

A degree in life sciences, pharmacy, nursing, or a related healthcare field.

 Skills Required 

  • Good understanding of case handling processes and drug research fundamentals.

  • Strong verbal reasoning, attention to detail, and critical thinking skills.

  • Good knowledge of medical terminology and relevant therapy areas.

  • Ability to critically evaluate medical and clinical data.
