 Job Summary  

Drug Safety Physician and this hybrid role provide safety support to ICONs project teams across clinical studies. Ensure projects follow ethical and medical standards staying in line with GCP and pharmacovigilance guidelines. Review event data, assess safety issues and guide teams, on regulatory reporting requirements. Also support clients on safety matters.

 Key Responsibilities 

  • Review coding and assess the seriousness of events and drug reactions.

  • Review aggregated safety reports, including patient profiles and periodic safety updates.

  • Assess safety issues in clinical trials and share them with manager and client.

  • Support training on regulatory reporting requirements for adverse events and reactions.

  • Review project specific procedures. Take part in related project meetings.

  • Communicate with clients as outlined in agreed project procedures.

  • Support the preparation and running of code break activities.

  • Review. Give input on product information and safety documents.

  • Advise clients on requirements for expedited and periodic safety reporting.

  • Guide medical and safety staff on adverse event reporting practices.

  • Take on responsibilities as assigned by manager.

 Educational Qualification 

  • A recognized Medical degree, along with a valid license to practice.

 Skills Required 

  • Two to three years of experience diagnosing and treating patients in a hospital setting.

  • Prior experience in research or pharmacovigilance is an added advantage.

  • Strong understanding of GCP and pharmacovigilance guidelines.

  • Good communication skills to work with clients and internal teams.

  • Strong attention to detail when reviewing safety data and reports.
