Job Summary
This job description is related to safety monitoring of pharmaceutical products.
Some of the responsibilities associated with the job are safety monitoring activities and compliance of regulations.
The candidate will have to manage cases, safety data, and also medical information activities.
The candidate has to coordinate with other internal departments as well as vendors.
Candidate must be meticulous and can perform multiple tasks at one time.
Key Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for carrying out activities related to pharmacovigilance in regard to the designated products and processes. The activities include the management and processing of Individual Case Safety Reports and medical information call centre activities.
The candidate will be involved in providing supervision in regard to monthly activities involving volumes of calls and processing of safety cases. This will include review of call logs and solving of any issues raised from calls. The candidate will also carry out reconciliation of calls conducted at the call centre and safety cases handled by third parties.
The candidate will supervise literature searches carried out to obtain safety data in regard to safety reports, safety signals, and periodic updates. This will include the supervision of pharmacovigilance safety databases and case processing groups. The candidate will be involved in ensuring compliance with regulations in regard to safety reporting.
The candidate will be responsible for managing the reconciliation of safety data, call center data, and safety agreements. Some of the responsibilities will include updating the product dictionary and working with the process of regulatory submission. The candidate will work with safety database management and answer queries concerning the same. He/She will assist in drafting and reviewing safety data exchange agreements.
The candidate will be required to work with cross-functional stakeholders such as regulatory affairs, quality assurance, legal, finance, packaging, commercial, and other departments.
Qualifications and Skill Requirement
Education- B.Pharm
The position entails having at least one year of experience in pharmacovigilance or related disciplines.
The applicant needs to have fundamental knowledge about drug safety procedures and regulations.
Effective communication skills are necessary for interacting with the different parties within and outside the organization.
Being highly attentive and well organized is a requirement.
The applicant must possess the ability to handle more than one assignment simultaneously.
Salary and Benefits
Biocon offers competitive compensation, depending upon experience and the level at which the individual is working. The salary range for this role is INR 4-6 LPA.
