Job Summary
The Regional Medical Advisor (RMA) represents the organisation scientifically within a specific geographic and therapeutic setting. This position emphasizes building good relationships with healthcare practitioners and opinion leaders, along with the development of medical and scientific strategies.
The individual would be an intermediary between clinical studies, medical affairs, and commercial operations. It involves providing information and insights along with the medical education process.

Key Responsibilities
The role will include identification, mapping, and contacting key opinion leaders and health care professionals in the given region/therapy.
This will include building long-term scientific relationships with physicians, pharmacists, and other health care professionals.
The incumbent will implement the medical affairs strategy, which will include medical education, product training, advisory boards, and evidence gathering activities.
The candidate will serve as the scientific expert for the designated therapeutic area.
Responsibilities for this role include providing prompt and accurate responses to the medical and scientific inquiries made by healthcare professionals. In addition, the role will include managing the complexities of scientific dialogue.
The individual will seek information about disease trends, treatment approaches, and unmet medical needs. The information gathered will be provided to internal teams to help make sound strategic decisions.
The role will require working on the development of the medical affairs strategy for the year and on new product strategies through scientific and clinical insights.
The candidate will work with cross-functional teams such as marketing, regulatory, and clinical research to align medical strategies.
The individual will assist with research efforts in the form of publications, case studies, meta-analyses, and clinical evidence generation through collaborations with opinion leaders.
Representing the organization at scientific conferences and meetings is part of the responsibilities in this role.
Qualifications and Skills
Education- MBBS + MD in medicine, pharmacology, or a related discipline.
An MBA may be an added advantage.
Experience- 1 to 3 years of experience in:
Medical affairs
Clinical research, or
Related fields are preferred
Fresh postgraduates may also be considered.
The person needs to have extensive scientific expertise and the capability of analyzing clinical data and research outcomes.
Communication and presentation skills are very important for interaction with healthcare practitioners and other stakeholders.
The candidate needs to have good analytic and problem-solving skills.
It would be great if the candidate could easily cope with a cross-functional and ever-changing environment.
Clinical research experience, medical writing skills, and ICH-GCP compliance are pluses.
Salary and Benefits
The firm pays salaries in line with industry standards. This may depend on the level of experience and qualification. The salary for this role is INR 13.5 to 15 LPA.
