Job Summary
This role is responsible for site management, monitoring, and close out of assigned clinical trial investigator sites. As a Senior Clinical Research Associate I, you will ensure patient safety and quality study execution, following GCP and Pfizer standards. You will manage investigator relationships, resolve protocol related issues, and support enrollment and recruitment. The role works closely with the Site Care Partner and wider study team.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure proper conduct of clinical trials, following the Study Monitoring Plan and Pfizer standards.
Manage operational aspects of trial activities, from site initiation through database lock.
Serve as the primary contact for assigned investigator sites during study conduct.
Coordinate information flow between the study team, vendors, and investigator sites.
Support investigator site development, coaching, and protocol training for site staff.
Provide enrollment support and help resolve site activation and recruitment issues.
Conduct onsite, remote, or electronic monitoring across site initiation and closure activities.
Monitor adverse events and serious adverse events, following up with sites as needed.
Submit required reports and documentation within agreed timeframes.
Identify and resolve investigator site issues, developing corrective and preventive actions.
Resolve data queries and manage site close out plans and activities.
Oversee investigational product handling, accounting, storage, and destruction at sites.
Support database release activities, and act as an unblinded monitor when required.
Maintain strong product and protocol knowledge to guide investigator discussions.
Support quality event remediation and audit related activities, when applicable.
Mentor and train Clinical Research Associates as assigned.
Take part in regional or local process improvement initiatives.
Support site selection and activation readiness ahead of site initiation.
Conduct co-monitoring activities as requested by the study team.
Educational Qualification
Bachelor's degree in life sciences, or a professional degree in nursing, pharmacy, or a related medical field.
Skills Required
Minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical research site monitoring experience with least 2 years in oncology.
Strong knowledge of trial methods ICH GCP and local regulatory requirements.
Preferred experience in oncology, vaccines, internal medicine or infectious diseases.
Global clinical trial experience is a plus.
Fluency in English and the local language of the country where you work.
Solid understanding of protocol design and feasibility assessment processes.
Ability to work in a matrix team environment.
Strong skills in evaluating and presenting complex data for risk management.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to travel frequently; approximately 60 to 80 percent of the time.
Valid driver's license and passport required.
