Job Summary
As the Senior Medical Writer I at Syneos Health, you will contribute to the field of medical communications and scientific writing by developing scientific content for clients globally. This job includes analysis of complex scientific information and turning that information into effective communication.
Different documents such as manuscripts, abstracts, slide presentations, etc will be prepared by the medical writer. The position demands analytical skills and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Create scientific and medical communication materials. These include manuscripts, abstracts, posters, presentations, and online content. Work on developing narratives creatively and strategically as per the needs of the clients.
Work on interpreting the data collected from the study protocol, statistics, and regulatory documents. Work on summarizing the information for the varied target audiences.
Coordinate with different internal departments like editorial, production, creative, and account management departments. Coordinate with clients, authors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication goals are met.
Make sure all the content is of very high quality and accuracy as per the guidelines. Make sure all the reference packs and annotations are made for regulatory and legal purposes.
Leverage feedback from stakeholders effectively and make sure that deliverables follow client guidelines and templates. Attend internal and external meetings as a representative of the project output.
Be a subject matter expert for one or more therapeutic areas. Perform literature review, landscape analysis, KOL mapping, and gap analysis for the projects.
Work on multiple projects simultaneously in an environment where timelines are very important. Identify risks and propose solutions accordingly.
Qualification and Skill Requirement
Education: Advanced degree in Life Sciences (PhD, MD, PharmD, M.Pharm, MBBS, MSc or equivalent)
Experience: 2–3 years of experience in medical communications or scientific writing
The candidates must have extensive knowledge about the publication policies and writing styles in the medical field.
Experience with the use of research databases such as PubMed, EMBASE, and citation software is important.
Skills in using the Microsoft Office suite of programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are highly valued.
The candidate must be able to convey complex medical knowledge to different audiences.
Good written and oral communication skills are required.
Interpersonal skills and teamwork are required from the candidates.
The ability to manage priorities and work on their own is important for the job.
Salary and Benefits
Syneos Health provides a competitive salary structure according to market standards and the experience level of candidates. The salary package for this role is INR 5 - 6.5 LPA. Salary packages come with performance bonuses and yearly salary increases.
