 Job Summary  

This role combines responsibilities related to the safety of medicines around the world, in the field of drug research and development. As a Specialist you will manage cases related to pharmacovigilance making sure that information is recorded correctly and that stories are clearly told. You will look at safety information assign codes to reactions and help with reports that meet the rules. This job also requires team work that handle clinical work, quality and other departments to make sure patients are safe.

 Key Responsibilities 

  • Handle end to end case processing for assigned pharmacovigilance safety reports.

  • Review source documents and clinical data to validate medical information.

  • Follow standard workflows for adverse event intake, classification, and data entry.

  • Conduct medical assessments of case reports, confirming seriousness and expectedness.

  • Prepare regulatory compliant case reports, including clear, structured narratives.

  • Track on workload queues and prioritize urgent regulatory reporting timelines.

  • Use your understanding of research to clearly explain side effects that happen with medicines.

  • Work closely with operations and quality teams to fix missing or incomplete data.

  • Keep communication open. Protect patient data privacy while working in a mix of office and remote settings.

  • Follow operating procedures and pharmacovigilance rules and finish all required training by the due dates.

  • Share ideas, for making case handling better and more efficient to improve safety practices.

  • Support periodic safety reviews with reliable, case level data outputs.

  • Take part in team learning sessions to build stronger safety expertise.

 Educational Qualification 

  • A degree in Life sciences, pharmacy, or a related healthcare field is generally expected.

 Skills Required 

  • At least 1 year of experience in clinical or safety related documentation within pharma research and development.

  • Familiarity with pharmacovigilance case processing, including data capture and narrative writing.

  • Basic understanding of individual case safety report submission practices.

  • Strong attention to detail when reviewing medical and adverse event data.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills for cross team collaboration.

  • Comfort working within a regulated, confidentiality driven environment.

  • Willingness to keep learning pharmacovigilance and safety science practices.

  • Preferred certification in pharmacovigilance or drug safety, such as from DIA.
