Job Summary

As a Territory Manager for Bangalore region, it will be your responsibility to help in growing the sales activities of the company within the allocated territory. Your key responsibilities will include driving sales, product promotion, retail promotion, distributor management, and executing of sales initiatives.
It will also be your responsibility to see that Roche products are made available in the target market. In this case, you will be dealing with distributors, conducting market research, and understanding customer requirements among others.

Key Responsibilities

HCP Promotion and Product Detailing

  • Promote medicines to Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) through scientific communication, product detailing, relationship management, and ethical marketing.

  • Create awareness about the brands and generate prescriptions within the allotted territory.

Territory Planning and Market Information

  • Assist the ASM in territory planning through the provision of market environmental data and annual demand forecasting.

  • Assist in the determination of distributor stock requirements and in distributing marketing materials.

Promotional Activities and Field Activation

  • Carry out sales promotion and field activation activities on a monthly basis.

  • Ensure that records are kept of the expenditure incurred, sales results, and results of the promotional activities.

Target Achievement and Secondary Sales

  • Achieve sales targets on a month-to-month basis by covering markets actively.

  • Implement SKU-wise sales plan every month and generate secondary sales in the market.

Distributor and Dealer Management

  • Manage the distributors and dealers by visiting and calling them regularly.

  • Resolve account issues, competitive issues, price-related issues, schemes-related issues, and business-related issues.

Distribution and Channel Management

  • Assess performance of the distributors and assist in appointing/discharging them.

  • Ensure efficient flow of medicines within the allotted market area.

Arrangement Of Distributor's Meeting and Collections

  • Arrange for distributors and dealers' meetings according to marketing plans.

  • Arranging for monthly collections from the customers. 

Qualifications and Skills

Must-Have Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in any relevant field, namely Business Administration, Marketing, or Life Sciences

  • Practical experience in field sales work, preferably in Distributor Manager or Territory Manager positions

  • Capability in managing the sales process in Bangalore Territory

  • Understanding of market growth, market demand generation, and territory management

  • Field sales experience, which includes traveling and market visits

Bonus Skills

  • Proficiency in working with physicians, chemical companies, distributors, wholesalers, and retailers.

  • Experience in marketing and planning.

  • Knowledge in preparing sales analysis reports.

  • Skill in handling finances and accounts receivable.

  • Proficiency in coordinating with the Area Sales Manager for managing the territories.

  • Prior experience in handling problems related to distributors and clients.

Soft Skills & Personality Traits

  • Ability to communicate, negotiate, and build relationships.

  • The applicant shows a high level of organization and attention to detail, which is indicated by the promptness in providing feedback at the daily, weekly, and monthly levels.

  • The individual exhibits professional confidence along with target-oriented and growth-oriented mindset.

Salary and Benefits

Roche offers candidates having a working experience ranging between 4 and 12 years an average salary of ₹7.8 LPA and ₹9.1 LPA in the same domain, depending on other factors such as competence level.
