Job Summary 

The Associate Medical Writer helps imaging clinical trials by creating, checking and keeping scientific and operational paperwork. The job helps with starting a study checking protocols and imaging needs medical communication keeping records and writing documents. The job also includes working with teams keeping track of things helping with quality checks and supporting the end of a study. It gives a chance to build skills in writing, clinical research and imaging science.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Help with starting a study and medical-writing work.

  • Make, arrange and keep study- medical-writing documents.

  • Check protocols and imaging needs.

  • Update Site Manuals, forms, labels and study communication materials.

  • Make compliance documents like Notes to File and protocol-amendment impact assessments.

  • Keep source documents and electronic clinical forms.

  • Make meeting agendas, minutes and action-item records.

  • Take part in study-startup and Medical Communications meetings.

  • Keep Medical Communications resources, databases, web content and document folders up to date.

  • Help with ending a study and storing documents.

  • Create and keep Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, templates and training materials.

  • Update reader-training and study-training materials.

  • Keep study trackers, document-status reports and Medical Writing databases current.

  • Help project teams with what they need for paperwork and templates.

  • Take part in quality, compliance and process-improvement projects.

Educational Qualification 

  • Bachelors degree in Life Sciences, Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Pharmacy, Healthcare, Clinical Research or another related scientific field.

Experience preferred 

  • 1+ year of medical writing experience preferred, although equivalent clinical research or scientific documentation experience will be considered.

  • 2+ years of experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, clinical research, healthcare, medical imaging, or related industries preferred.
