Job Summary 

The CDC II role at ICON focuses on supporting data management and keeping trial data reliable, complete and accurate. The job requires reviewing datasets handling data queries and reconciliations evaluating data‑review risks tracking study activities and sharing findings with trial partners. The professional also helps maintain eCRFs develop data‑review plans solve issues prepare for audits and work with teams during clinical trial data‑management activities.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Review data across databases, datasets, listings, reports and analytical outputs.

  • Check information for completeness, accuracy, consistency and integrity.

  • Raise, review and close data queries through EDC/CDMS systems.

  • Support clinical and third‑party data reconciliation activities.

  • Follow data‑review. Applicable risk‑assessment processes.

  • Assist with developing and implementing data‑review strategies.

  • Communicate the status of clinical data‑review activities.

  • Collaborate with Data Management Trial Partners and cross‑functional stakeholders.

  • Identify data problems perform root‑cause analysis and recommend solutions.

  • Support maintenance of eCRFs Data Validation Specifications and Study‑Specific Procedures.

  • Track study and task metrics and communicate progress to teams.

  • Maintain clinical data‑management documentation and support audit and inspection readiness.

  • Use data visualization techniques to support clinical trial decision‑making.

  • Assume relevant Clinical Trial Data Manager responsibilities when required.

Educational Qualification 

  • Bachelors degree in a field such as Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Healthcare, Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences, Nursing or a related discipline.

  • Relevant academic exposure to data management in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sector.

  • Familiarity with data management platforms such, as Medidata, Oracle RDC or comparable systems.

  • Knowledge of research regulations is advantageous.

Skills Required 

  • Clinical Data Management and clinical trial data review.

  • Knowledge of EDC/CDMS systems such as Medidata or Oracle RDC.

  • Understanding of data validation, reconciliation, query management and data cleaning.

  • Strong attention to detail and data‑quality orientation.
