Job Summary
The Emergency Medical Services Officer (EMSO) is a junior-level position offered to individuals who want to have a career in the management and operations of the health sector.
The EMSO candidate is expected to:
Manage emergency medical services
Coordinate emergency cases

Key Responsibilities
The candidate will receive emergency calls and make a proper assessment of the emergency. This job will require coordination between the ambulance services and the health care providers to facilitate effective handling of emergencies.
The candidate will keep track of the progress of emergency cases and inform the concerned parties about the same. This will include adherence to the emergency protocol and standard operating procedure while performing the tasks.
The candidate will keep accurate records of the emergency calls and other information. This includes record-keeping of all the activities carried out in each emergency case.
Effective communication is required from the candidate in the case of an emergency. This involves communication with patients, their attendants, ambulance crew members, and the staff of hospitals.
Resource management, especially regarding the availability of ambulances, is the responsibility of the candidate. The candidate will need to make efficient use of the emergency services.
Identifying critical situations and making escalations is another part of the job. This requires working closely with the supervisor and other senior staff members.
Qualifications and Skill Requirement
Education:
BAMS
BUMS
Or, bachelor’s in:
Healthcare Administration
Public Health
Emergency Management
Applications are open for freshers and applicants having a maximum of two years of experience.
Previous experience in health care or emergency care service is preferred but not necessary.
The candidate should possess some knowledge about the health care system and emergency response process.
Effective communication skills are important for managing emergency calls and coordination with various parties.
Ability to manage in high-pressure and stressful situations is required.
Organizational skills are important to manage the various cases simultaneously
Knowledge of computers and the ability to enter data is needed.
The candidate must be prepared to work in 12 hours rotating shift, including nights and weekends.
