 Job Summary 

This is a Hospital Medical Officer post, offered on a Short Term Contract basis for six months. The role is based at NAMO Hospital, Daman. The Medical Officer will provide general patient care, follow hospital protocols, and support day to day clinical operations. The post comes with a consolidated monthly salary, as fixed by the Rogi Kalyan Samiti.

 Key Responsibilities 

  • Examine patients who come to the hospital for care.

  • Provide medicines and treatment plans after making a diagnosis.

  • Keep records accurate and ensure all treatment details are properly documented.

  • Work closely with nursing staff and other hospital teams to support needs.

  • Help in emergency situations. Respond immediately when needed. Support emergency cases and respond quickly when required.

  • Follow hospital protocols, government legislation, and health policies closely.

  • Support implementation of quality standards, such as NABH or NQAS practices, where relevant.

  • Maintain professional conduct and follow instructions from hospital administration.

 Educational Qualification 

  • MBBS from a recognized university.

  • Completion of 1 year of rotatory internship.

  • Valid State registered certificate with the Medical Council.

  • Knowledge of the local language is desirable.

  • Candidates with suitable prior experience may be preferred.

 Skills Required 

  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills as a general physician.

  • Good communication skills to interact with patients and hospital staff.

  • Ability to work calmly under pressure, including emergency situations.

  • Strong sense of responsibility and professional conduct.
