Job Summary
This remote role gives a Pharmacovigilance Physician the chance to oversee medical aspects of pharmacovigilance throughout the life of a drug. As a Pharmacovigilance Physician you will make sure that company SOPs, client instructions and regulatory rules are followed carefully. Your work will involve reviewing medical side‑effects and safety data for products that are already, on the market. The role also requires you to attend sponsor meetings and give advice to clients and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
Provide medical oversight of pharmacovigilance activities across assigned projects.
Ensure company SOPs, client directives, and GCP guidelines are followed closely.
Attend and present at sponsor meetings as needed.
Offer medical and pharmacovigilance consultation to clients and project team members.
Support business development activities related to pharmacovigilance services.
Conduct medical reviews of clinical trial serious adverse events.
Analyze and assess safety data for marketed products.
Ensure thorough assessment and accurate reporting of safety information.
Manage all medical aspects of contracted pharmacovigilance tasks.
Support regulatory compliance throughout the pharmaceutical product lifecycle.
Educational Qualification
A medical degree, such as MBBS or an equivalent qualification, is required for this role.
Skills Required
Strong background in pharmacovigilance, drug safety, or clinical medicine.
Good understanding of Good Clinical Practice and regulatory requirements.
Strong medical judgment for reviewing adverse event and safety data.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable presenting at sponsor and client meetings.
Strong analytical skills to assess complex clinical safety information.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Salary Structure
The average salary for a Pharmacovigilance Physician in India ranges from ₹20 Lakhs to ₹25 Lakhs per year.
