Job Summary
The Scientific Comms. Lead is based in Bangalore within Medical Communications, Global Medical Affairs, Product & Portfolio Strategy at Novo Nordisk Global Business Services. The role centres on turning complex clinical data into clear and credible medical communication for global experts and healthcare professionals.
You will create high-impact scientific materials, contribute to scientific dialogue with global key opinion leaders, and provide both back-end and on-site support for Global Medical Affairs activities. The position also involves working with scientific advisors, project managers and graphic designers while collaborating closely with Global Medical Affairs teams in Denmark.
Key Responsibilities
Translate complex clinical data into clear, credible and engaging medical communication that can be understood and trusted by scientific and healthcare audiences.
Create high-impact medical and scientific materials that communicate the clinical profile of Novo Nordisk products.
Support and contribute to scientific dialogue with global key opinion leaders (KOLs) and other external scientific experts.
Provide both back-end and on-site support for activities led by Global Medical Affairs, including engagement at meetings and symposia.
Work closely with global scientific advisors, project managers and graphic designers within the Medical Communications team.
Partner with Global Medical Affairs colleagues in Denmark to communicate scientific and medical knowledge both to the external scientific community and across the organisation.
Contribute to a fast-paced, collaborative environment where scientific quality, teamwork and effective communication are important parts of the role.
Educational Qualification
A Ph.D. or PharmD with substantial research expertise in a life sciences field.
3–5 years of experience in medical affairs or medical/scientific writing.
At least 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
Skills Required
Strong medical and scientific writing ability.
Willingness and ability to support relevant activities both remotely/back-end and on site, including meetings and symposia.
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and strong writing skills are also listed among the skills associated with the position on current job aggregators.
Excellent communication abilities in a scientific setting.
Capable of communicating with worldwide specialists and health care professionals.
Ability to collaborate with global and cross functional teams.
Ability to interact with opinion leaders and engage in scientific conversations.
Salary
The average Scientific Comms. pay in India, lead is between Rs 7 lakh and Rs 9.9 lakh per year.
