Job Summary
Your role as a Client Partner will be to code and audit outpatient and/or inpatient medical records for appropriate diagnostic and procedure coding. The role also requires fulfilling productivity and turnaround objectives, maintaining professional standards, supporting revenue leakage reduction activities and keeping current on coding expertise through team meetings and educational programs.
Key Responsibilities
Review coding in medical records and assign the correct diagnosis.
Accurately code and audit outpatient and/or inpatient records to achieve a minimum accuracy rate of 96% and meet turnaround time requirements.
Maintain high standards of professional and ethical procedures in the performance of given duties.
Support improvement initiatives that help clients decrease or eliminate revenue loss while still in compliance with applicable standards.
Education Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline from an accredited university.
Skills Required
Should know medical coding methods and medical terminology.
Knowledge of CPT-4, ICD-9, ICD-10 and HCPCS systems.
Experience with medical coding and billing.
Understanding of regulations for medical coding.
Salary Structure
The average salary for a Medical Coder at Access Healthcare in India is between ₹ 2.4 Lakhs and ₹ 4.8 Lakhs per year.
