Job Summary
The Clinical Data Programmer II will help with programming tasks on trial projects inside Novotech’s Data Management team. The job includes building and keeping trial databases, creating data review lists handling data reconciliation and helping with external data connections. The Clinical Data Programmer II must also confirm programming work, making sure all steps follow Novotech rules GCDMP, ICH‑GCP and any CDISC or sponsor rules.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage programming tasks for assigned trial projects, such as designing and building clinical databases creating data review lists and reconciling data.
* Design, code. Keep clinical trial databases for various applications following Novotech standards.
* Load external data, like laboratory and ECG data when needed.
* Collaborate with vendors to set data transfer rules and standards.
* Make sure programming steps follow operating procedures and good programming habits.
* Create, confirm and maintain trial databases in various EDC systems.
* Use processes, programming languages and technologies when needed and adapt to workplace changes.
* Add notes to CRFs following CDISC rules or sponsor rules including the metadata to show CRT data.
* Give advice about how clinical databases connect with other databases, programs or reporting tools.
* Help validate systems, software and programs following the needed regulations.
* Join project meetings and phone calls when required.
* Assist the Project Lead and the larger project team with tasks.
Educational Qualification
A bachelor’s degree in information science, life science or a similar field.
Skills Required
* Experience in data programming in clinical research settings.
* Understanding of how to design, code, test and maintain databases.
* Know how EDC systems work and how to build trial databases.
* Familiar with connecting data and reconciling it.
* Know how to annotate CRFs and follow CDISC or sponsor rules.
* Can follow SOPs, GCDMP, ICH‑GCP and sound programming practices.
* Know details of database connections and data exchange.
* Can learn processes, languages and technologies.
* Works well with teams, vendors and other stakeholders.
* Can help validate systems and software.
Salary Structure
The average salary for a Clinical Data Programmer II in India is ₹8 Lakhs to ₹12 Lakhs each year.
