Job Summary 

The Clinical Research Medical Advisor gives country level leadership in medicine and clinical work for Novartis programs. The Clinical Research Medical Advisor helps plan protocols start studies talk to investigators, recruit patients and run trials well. The Clinical Research Medical Advisor gives advice to teams and sites fixes recruitment and data problems protects patient safety and works with regulatory safety, medical affairs and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Evaluate trial feasibility based on practice, patient numbers and the competitive trial market.

  • Give medical input during study start‑up and site activation.

  • Help clinical teams and trial sites put protocols into action.

  • Give expertise for IRB/Ethics Committee submissions and regulatory talks.

  • Help write informed‑consent documents.

  • Build relationships with investigators, medical experts, regulators and other scientific partners.

  • Create strategies to boost recruitment and keep patients in the trial.

  • Spot possible. Data quality problems and make plans to solve them.

  • Provide training on disease area, indication, drug and protocol.

  • Work with Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Safety, HEOR and Patient Access teams.

  • Support safety. Review serious adverse events when needed.

  • Keep compliance with ICH‑GCP, GCP and local clinical‑research rules.

  • Help with audits, inspections, new trial designs and real‑world evidence projects.

  • Represent clinical‑development work at the country level.

Educational Qualification 

  • MBBS/M.D., Ph.D. or Pharm.D (M.D. is highly preferred.)

  • Subspecialty training or Real‑World Evidence (RWE) experience is useful.

  • 1-3+ Years of experience in drug development or clinical practice.

  • Good understanding of the drug‑development cycle.
