National Brain Research Centre (NBRC) in Manesar is a Government of India autonomous institute, under the Department of Biotechnology that focuses on neuroscience research and education. National Brain Research Centre (NBRC) works across fields to understand brain structure, brain function, brain health and brain disease while also training skilled scientists. Located in Haryana at the Aravalli foothills, National Brain Research Centre (NBRC) offers a special research setting that brings together biological, computational and other science experts to push forward brain science and healthcare research.

 Job Summary  

The Resident Medical Officer supports medical safety at the NBRC campus by screening patients and research subjects arriving for scanning, providing immediate medical attention when required, and handling campus emergencies. The officer also offers limited outpatient guidance to students and residents. The position requires campus residence and suits an MBBS-qualified doctor with valid registration and at least six months of post-qualification experience after internship and full registration with professional judgement.

 Key Responsibilities 

  • Screen patients and research subjects brought to NBRC for scanning procedures.

  • Provide medical coverage during scanning-related activities, which constitute most of the role.

  • Deliver initial medical care to students and campus residents.

  • Provide limited outpatient medical advice when required.

  • Respond to medical emergencies occurring within the NBRC campus.

  • Support timely medical intervention and ensure patient safety during campus activities.

  • Remain available on campus as required by the Resident Medical Officer position.

 Educational Qualification 

  • MBBS degree recognized by the Medical Council of India.

  • Valid MCI registration is mandatory.

  • Minimum six months of post-qualification experience after completing internship and obtaining full registration.

  • Recently retired doctors within the previous two years or doctors retiring within the next three months are also eligible to apply.

 Skills Required 

  • Strong patient screening and clinical assessment skills.

  • Ability to give first-line medical help.

  • Skill at managing medical emergencies.

  • Good clinical judgement and decision making.

  • Good communication, with patients, students, research subjects and campus residents.

  • Ability to work alone in a campus healthcare setting.

  • Ready to stay on the NBRC campus for this role.

 Remuneration  

₹50,000-₹70,000 per month on a consolidated basis, depending on experience, with campus accommodation provided.
