Job Summary 

The Safety Specialist supports planning. Running clinical studies in Abbott’s Medical Devices business. The job involves keeping study schedules on track collecting data from teams making sure all studies follow the same rules and fixing operational problems. The specialist checks that trial activities follow protocols, SOPs, Good Clinical Practice and local laws. The role also watches study progress talks with stakeholders and follows up on issues to keep studies on time.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop, coordinate and share timelines for studies.

  • Encourage study processes across all trials.

Educational Qualification 

  • An Associate’s degree or an equivalent education is required for this role.

  • Relevant education in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, Nursing, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology or another health or science field is useful for this role.

  • The job requires least 1 year of relevant experience.

Skills Required 

  • Skills in coordinating trials and planning studies.

  • Knowledge of research processes and study protocols.

  • Understanding of GCP, SOPs and relevant regulations.

  • Ability to plan timelines and track projects.
