Job Summary
Based in Hyderabad, this Expert Scientific Writer role is about creating complex medical content without much hand-holding. You will manage the full publication and medical education process, from writing through to approval in systems like PromoMats and Datavision. Part of the job involves coaching junior and senior writers too. Deep therapeutic knowledge and strong compliance awareness matter a lot here.
Key Responsibilities
Keep strong working relationships with the medical and scientific community tied to CHC and product teams.
Talk directly with health care professionals about the content of publications and what they really need.
Send out publication materials like slide decks, abstracts, posters, and manuscripts on time and in quality.
Help people and organizations that can be sources of help for publications.
Write complex publication and medical education material from scratch.
Act as the go-to expert for medical communication within your assigned therapy areas.
Help the wider team figure out where publication needs exist through proper analysis.
Carry out the yearly publication plan for your region and keep it on track.
Work with outside vendors to get deliverables done the right way, following set processes.
Use better training tools and techniques to make learning sessions more useful for everyone.
Build future plans based on real feedback from end users, not just assumptions.
Team up with regional scientific communication groups to spot gaps and fill them.
Stay closely connected with the medical department to shape content that actually fits their needs.
Educational Qualification
An advanced degree in life sciences, pharmacy or a similar field, or a medical degree.
Alongside that, 8 years in pharma or healthcare content creation is expected, with more than 4 of those years spent in some kind of leadership role.
Skills Required
Strong stakeholder management, since you'll be dealing with many different teams and people.
Clear communication skills, both on paper and in person.
Comfortable working alone just as much as working within a team.
Solid grasp of your therapeutic area and how publications actually get submitted.
Some project management ability helps too, especially when juggling multiple deliverables.
Excellent English, both written and spoken, is a must.
