 Job Summary 

The position involves analysing scientific papers, evaluating clinical and economic evidence, identifying gaps in existing research, and writing reports and other scientific materials. The selected professional will be responsible for managing a variety of projects led by more senior team members, working with cross-functional teams, direct client interaction, and mentoring junior team members on specific tasks.

 Key Responsibilities 

  • Conduct systematic literature reviews (SLRs), targeted literature reviews (TLRs) and other evidence reviews to aid research endeavours.

  • Develop literature search tactics, screening criteria, data extraction methodologies and evidence synthesis frameworks

  • Search scientific and bibliographic databases and select papers based on project specific inclusion and exclusion criteria.

  • Systematically extract research data; conduct quality checks; critically appraise published studies; and assess clinical, epidemiological, economic and health outcomes findings.

  • Identify research gaps and summarize key results including illness burden, treatment trends, unmet medical requirements, and clinical outcomes.

  • Oversee many research projects concurrently to guarantee the precision and promptness of project outcomes.

  • Preparation of scientific deliverables such as literature review reports, articles, evidence and value dossiers, abstracts, posters and presentations.

  • Attend client meetings and project discussions and present study findings and progress updates.

  • Assist senior consultants with project planning, research methodology creation, proposal writing and project need estimation.

  • Provide direction and quality control to junior colleagues conducting literature screening and data extraction.

  • Engage in internal training, knowledge sharing, research methodology development and continuous improvement activities.

 
Educational Qualification 

Candidates should possess a postgraduate qualification such as an MPH, MSc, MPharm or equivalent.

 Skills Required  

  • Knowledge of epidemiologic principles and research procedures.

  • Ability to perform systematic and focused literature reviews.

  • Expertise in critical appraisal of scientific studies, evidence synthesis and data extraction.

  • Strong problem solving and analytical thinking ability.

  • Ability to evaluate complex clinical, epidemiological, economic and health outcomes information.

  • Ability to explain research findings effectively, including scientific writing skills.

  • Strong written and vocal communication abilities.

  • Excellent organizational abilities and capacity to manage numerous projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to work autonomously, adjust to evolving requirements and operate within multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills.

  • Knowledge of reference management tools, such as EndNote or other related software.

  • Working understanding of AI technologies and how they might be used in research and analytical workflows.

  • Ability to teach junior colleagues and engage in quality improvement projects.
