Job Summary
This role is for an Intern Pharmacist on the Sunshine Coast for the 2027 internship year. The person will work closely with experienced pharmacists to build dispensing, counselling, and clinical skills. The intern also joins the free Masterclass Intern Program, which supports the move from graduate to registered pharmacist.
Key Responsibilities
Help dispense prescriptions accurately and quickly under pharmacist supervision.
Learn professional practice standards, QSPP rules, and the Queensland prescription monitoring system.
Support stock management, expiry checks, and dispensary compliance tasks.
Assist with generic conversions and script on file work.
Learn and support Dose Administration Aid services.
Take part in medication reviews, staged supply services, and other professional programs.
Report and record dispensing incidents as per pharmacy procedures.
Help customers with health and medicine questions under pharmacist guidance.
Promote CareClinic services, myTWC, and Rewards programs.
Answer customer questions quickly and politely, including phone calls.
Complete all internship tasks and training programs.
Join the 2027 Masterclass Intern Program. Finish the monthly learning milestones.
Keep your pharmacy knowledge up-to-date through workplace training.
Follow all laws, professional standards, and company procedures.
Educational Qualification
A Bachelor of Pharmacy degree or an equivalent qualification is needed, along with eligibility to start internship training. Applicants must hold current Intern Pharmacist registration with AHPRA or be eligible for it before starting. They must also have the right to live and work in Australia.
Overseas pharmacists must pass the APC skills assessment and OPRA exam.
