Job Summary
This job is for a Medical Data Reviewer who works from home in India helping a sponsor in tumor oncology. The person will look at medical data ask questions and follow up until the issues are solved. The job also includes checking data trends being ready for audits and helping with meetings like safety reviews and meetings with investigators. Having medical or scientific knowledge is very important here.
Key Responsibilities
Verify the documents for mistakes and ask clear questions when something needs more attention.
Check details like patient eligibility, diagnosis, medical history, previous treatments and how drugs were given.
Keep track of reactions safety lab results, how well the treatment worked and related information to make sure it is correct.
Follow up with study sites until every question is answered and closed in the system.
Point out where training is needed for CRAs and site staff when data problems happen.
Find patterns in the data to help with quality and following the rules.
Be the person for questions about clinical data and help make sure the project is ready for an audit.
Watch how sites enter data and help fix the problem when issues happen again.
Attend review meetings like checking for protocol deviations safety reviews and data quality talks.
Help prepare and check data used in meetings with investigators, advisory boards and study reports.
Work closely with scientists, medical directors, data management and clinical operations teams.
Educational Qualification
A medical degree or a higher healthcare degree is needed, like MD, MBBS, PharmD or a similar qualification.
A life sciences degree with clinical experience is also accepted.
5 Years of experience in pharma or clinical data review is needed and 8 years or more is a big advantage.
Skills Required
Good knowledge of Good Clinical Practice and how clinical trials are designed.
Experience in tumor oncology is a big plus.
Good English skills, both writing and speaking.
Good at organizing things.
Comfortable working with data systems, lists and standard data formats.
Ability to work well by yourself and as part of a team.
Salary Structure
The average salary for a Medical Data Reviewer at ICON Plc in India generally ranges from ₹13 Lakhs to ₹16 Lakhs per year.
