 Job Summary 

This role is for a SERM Medical Director supporting a pharmaceutical company, working remotely on a 1-Year Contract from India. The person will lead safety evaluation, benefit-risk assessment and risk management for products in clinical development and after launch. The role also covers interactions and health authority responses. This is a one-year contract role with a chance of extension.

 Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead safety evaluation and benefit-risk assessment work for assigned products.

  • Support risk management activities across clinical development and marketed products.

  • Contribute to submissions and interactions with health authorities.

  • Review clear, science-based responses to Health Authority Requests for Information.

  • Interpret clinical and safety data to guide regulatory and business decisions.

  • Take part in cross safety governance and product safety discussions.

  • Give protocol and regulatory support throughout the development process.

  • Raise safety concerns and new risks to the right teams when needed.

 Educational Qualification 

  • An MD or an equivalent physician qualification is required for this role.

  • Strong experience in development, drug safety, pharmacovigilance or a related pharma function is also needed.

 Skills Required 

  • Strong understanding of benefit risk assessment and safety evaluation.

  • Experience responding to Health Authority Requests for Information.

  • Experience supporting submissions and talks with bodies helps me stay on top of key deadlines.

  • Excellent scientific communication skills are vital, for explanations and strong english proficiency.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment lets me adapt quickly.

  • Oncology experience and exposure to agencies such as FDA, EMA and PMDA is a plus.
