 Job Summary  

This is a part time, contractual Medical Officer post at ICAR CIRCOT in Matunga, Mumbai. The doctor will visit the institute for at least two hours a day, three days a week. The role involves treating staff, their families, and other eligible persons. The engagement is for one year at first, and it can be extended up to three years.

 Key Responsibilities 

  • Attend the institute for at least two hours a day, three days a week.

  • Provide medical consultation to staff, their dependents, pensioners, research scholars, and students.

  • Use the institute's medical room and basic equipment for patient care.

  • Keep proper records of all patients seen and send regular reports to the institute.

  • Help during medical emergencies or health related incidents on campus.

  • Take part in health camps, vaccination drives, and wellness programmes.

  • Support health advice and screening during public health emergencies.

  • Visit field units within Mumbai city limits when needed.

  • Keep patient records and official matters strictly confidential.

  • Report to the Nodal Officer or Medical Supervisor of the institute.

 Educational Qualification 

  • MBBS degree, or an equivalent qualification, from a recognized university or institution.

  • Valid registration with the National Medical Commission or a State Medical Council.

  • The maximum age is 65 years, with relaxation possible up to 70 years in special cases.

  • Candidates with at least 5 years of experience in a government, autonomous, or private hospital may get preference.

  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills as a general medical practitioner.

  • Good communication skills to work with patients of different age groups.

  • Ability to handle emergencies calmly and give first response care.
