 Job Summary  

This role focuses on drug safety case processing within Teva's pharmacovigilance team, based in Bangalore. As a Pharmacovigilance Associate I, you will process adverse events from post marketing sources and ensure accurate medical coding through MedDRA. Your work will include data verification, follow up coordination, and narrative writing. The role also involves supporting audits, mentoring new hires, and tracking data trends for process improvement.

 Key Responsibilities 

  • Process serious and non serious adverse events from post marketing sources.

  • Ensure accurate, consistent medical coding through MedDRA for all safety events.

  • Verify data between source documents and the safety database.

  • Evaluate drug coding, seriousness, causality and listedness for each case.

  • Write accurate case narratives based on verified data.

  • Raise follow up queries with stakeholders to confirm data transfer.

  • Study quality data for trends to support process stabilization.

  • Take ownership of assigned case processing tasks on a daily basis.

  • Coordinate with external stakeholders to gather required information.

  • Share time status updates with your reporting manager.

  • Maintain transparent communication with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Support administrative and procedural tasks tied to the safety database.

  • Follow work instrictions and GVP modules for every assigned task.

  • Track and review case processing quality to support improvement.

  • Meet compliance metrics, including timelines, training and turnaround time targets.

  • Support managers with analysis during audits and inspections.

  • Mentor new hires, by sharing case processing knowledge and reviewing their progress.

 Educational Qualification 

  • M.Pharm, Pharm D, B.Pharm, or BDS.

  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in pharmacovigilance, case processing, or aggregate reporting.

 Skills Required 

  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, clinical pharmacology, patient treatment, diagnostics, and pathology.

  • Good understanding of pharmacovigilance principles and international drug safety regulations.

  • Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written.

  • Strong presentation skills.

  • High attention to detail.
