 Job Summary  

This role is for a Senior Clinical Programmer working with Rave, based in Madhapur. The person will design, build and maintain clinical databases and edit checks for study data. The role covers study leadership, custom functions and support across multiple concurrent studies. The programmer also guides junior staff and works closely with sponsors and project teams.

 Key Responsibilities 

  • Design, write, test and keep programs and databases running. Use tools like Rave, Oracle and SAS.

  • Keep documents updated. These include plans, rules for checking data and reports.

  • Lead programming work on studies at the same time. Do this based on what's needed and what resources are available.

  • Help data managers and other programmers with advice and solving problems.

  • Be an expert on tools like Rave, Oracle Inform and Oracle RDC.

  • Check all work at the study and program level. Make sure it is quality before it is given to the client.

  • Give advice on study budgets and track how much work is done compared to what was planned.

  • Watch systems for errors or performance problems.

  • Help other team members based on what you know.

  • Be there during sponsor audits. Assist during audits that happen during the study.

  • Keep learning about programming by reading taking training and going to events.

 Educational Qualification 

  • A bachelors degree is preferred.

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in clinical programming is needed.

  • Also good hands on experience with Rave is required.

 Skills Required 

  • Good experience with all parts of clinical programming using Rave.

  • Know how to build studies and databases make rules for checking data and create custom functions.

  • Least 2 years of experience making custom functions.

  • Good skills to talk and work with sponsors and other teams inside the company.

  • Ability to handle studies and change priorities easily.

  • Know how to use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Experience with programming languages like PL SQL, SAS, C++ or VB is a thing.

  • Willingness to travel when needed, up to 25 percent of the time.
