Job Summary
This role is headquartered in Mumbai within Abbott’s Medical & Scientific Affairs department in the Nutrition Research & Development division. The post will drive external engagement strategies, build collaborations with medical associations, academic institutions, and specialists, and develop medical education initiatives in the area of clinical nutrition. You will also support process improvement, compliance, documentation, medical reporting, KPI analysis, and dashboard generation using technologies like Power BI.
Key Responsibilities
Lead external engagement strategy for enhancing scientific leadership and advancing the science of clinical nutrition across India through evidence-based initiatives.
Develop strategic frameworks based on trends in clinical practice, insights from healthcare professionals, scientific breakthroughs, and competitive intelligence.
Develop and sustain collaborative scientific initiatives through relationships with medical societies, academic institutions, and renowned specialists.
Conduct risk assessment and scenario planning and coordinate with RA, Legal, PA, and OEC to ensure medical initiatives are planned and performed in a compliant way.
Define and track scientific impact measurements to evaluate the quality, reach, and influence of the external engagement initiatives.
Work with cross-functional teams to design and execute medical education initiatives that respond to unmet clinical requirements and maximize HCP performance.
Translate KOL interaction insights, published evidence, field feedback, and competitor assessments into meaningful learning objectives.
Maintain event documentation in accordance with Good Documentation Practices, including domestic and international TTT records and archive repositories.
Create KPI dashboards and report quarterly performance using analytics programs like Power BI.
Trend analysis of medical information requests received by the Medical Team.
Educational Qualification
MBBS/BDS/ Life sciences degree from a recognised university.
Skills Required
Outstanding skills in medical communication and scientific engagement
KOL engagement and stakeholder management experience
Ability to build and implement SOPs, guidance papers, and process frameworks.
Knowledge of external HCP involvement norms and regulations
Strategic thinking and capacity to interpret clinical, market, and scientific information
Strong cross-functional teamwork and coordination skills
Governance and process enhancement skills
Ability to develop and implement medical education programs
Data analysis and KPI reporting abilities
Experience with analytics and dashboard technologies such as Power BI
Great organizational, documentation, and presentation skills
Can recognize problems, predict hazards, and provide viable solutions.
Salary Structure
The average salary for a Senior Manager at Abbott in Mumbai is between ₹20 Lakhs and ₹25 Lakhs per year.
