 Job Summary 

The Senior Physician for Patient Safety is a remote role in India. You will give medical guidance on safety cases for trial drugs and marketed drugs. You will review adverse event reports and support safety checks and reports. You will also guide the safety team and work with clients to protect patients and meet all global safety rules on time.

 Key Responsibilities 

  • Give medical review and advice on adverse event and adverse reaction cases from start to finish.

  • Check safety cases for cause, seriousness and whether the event was expected.

  • Watch product safety data and find new safety signals.

  • Review and write safety reports, risk plans and benefit risk reviews.

  • Give medical input on patient stories in clinical study reports.

  • Read medical papers to study safety issues for a product.

  • Add safety content to study plans, investigator brochures and regulatory documents.

  • Guide safety associates and pharmacovigilance staff on medical questions.

  • Work with project managers, clients and internal teams to solve safety issues.

  • Join client meetings and share safety advice when needed.

  • Support audits, inspection readiness and process improvements.

  • Train team members and act as an expert when needed.

  • Stay updated on product safety details and global safety rules.

 Educational Qualification 

MBBS/MD in Medicine.

 Skills Required 

  • Relevant experience in pharmacovigilance, patient safety or a similar field.

  • Strong knowledge of global safety rules, including GCP and GVP.

  • Ability to understand medical data and explain what it means for patients.

  • Clear speaking and writing skills.

  • Good computer skills and comfort with web tools and Windows.

  • Ability to handle many tasks with good quality and care.

  • Comfort with safety databases and safety processes.

  • Good teamwork in a shared work setup.

  • 2 or more years in case review, safety watch or signal work.

  • Extra points for writing safety reports and supporting risk plans.
