 Job Summary  

This role acts as the primary contact for investigative sites during study maintenance and site start up activities. As a Start Up Associate, you will collect required regulatory documents to support timely submissions to ethics committees and regulatory authorities. Your work will follow ICH GCP guidelines, client expectations, and internal timelines. The role also involves supporting audit readiness and updating study systems regularly.

 Key Responsibilities 

  • Build awareness of regulatory legislation and practice in assigned countries, with senior support.

  • Assist senior staff in compiling and submitting documents to IRB, IEC, or regulatory authorities.

  • Coordinate with internal and external vendors for regulatory authority submissions.

  • Review final submission documents before they are sent for approval.

  • Organize communication related to submissions and outcomes within Fortrea.

  • Escalate study issues promptly and appropriately.

  • Serve as the main contact for investigative sites during start up and maintenance.

  • Collect, track, and review required documents for site activation and upkeep.

  • Ensure start up and maintenance activities stay on track and compliant.

  • Update study documents when personnel changes or amendments occur.

  • Keep documentation audit ready at all times.

  • Update status reports, logs, and tracking systems, with senior guidance.

  • Adapt informed consent forms to meet country specific requirements, with guidance.

  • Support the contract negotiation process under supervision, when needed.

  • Flag risks to project deliverables early to Submission Leads.

  • Notify Submission Leads of out of scope or excess work hours.

  • Upload submission documentation to CTIS under supervision, for EU centralized roles.

 Educational Qualification 

  • University or college degree, preferably in life sciences, or certification in an allied health profession, such as nursing or lab technology.

  • Relevant equivalent experience may be considered in place of formal education.

 Skills Required 

  • 0 to 2 or more years of relevant experience, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.

  • Working knowledge of ICH, regulatory affairs, and IRB or IEC guidelines.

  • Basic understanding of the overall clinical trial process.
