Job Summary
This is an on-site full-time Associate position in Clinical Pharmacology for individuals with 1-2 years of experience. The position is Bengaluru-based. The incumbent will ensure pharmacy operations as per NABH standards, support in sterile preparation of anti-cancer medicines, review medication orders and charts, monitor chemotherapy patients, manage ADR related activities and participate in pharmacy, infection control and therapeutic committee processes.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain pharmacy-related operations as per NABH guidelines.
Prepare sterile compounding of anti-cancer drugs.
Offer clinical education to nurses linked to medicines, especially in oncology.
Prepare meeting agendas and support information for Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee meetings and distribute meeting minutes.
Collect data on antibiotic use and report results at meetings of the Hospital Infection Control Committee.
Perform daily crash cart, medication cart and narcotic audits
Review patient records and order medication electronically using eMAR.
Perform drug use reviews on medication charts and find discrepancies.
Prepare full reports of medication errors and adverse drug reactions (ADRs) and present to the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee and assist in the development of plans to prevent them.
Prepare monthly reports on NABH quality indicators and submit.
Support drug usage review, antimicrobial stewardship, and pharmacokinetic monitoring.
Conduct regular rounds for patients undergoing chemotherapy in day-care and inpatient settings.
Watch patients who are getting chemotherapy closely.
Detect, report, monitor, document and evaluate probable ADRs using suitable causality assessment scales.
Provide medicine and poison information as requested.
Educational Qualification
Pharm.D with fellowship in Haemato Oncology.
Skills Required
Need excellent communication abilities to clearly educate nursing teams on oncology medications and deliver accurate drug information during clinical rounds.
Possess strong relationship-building skills to collaborate effectively.
Sharp negotiation skills to resolve operational workflows between pharmacy and nursing units.
Salary Structure
The Clinical Pharmacologist pay in Cytecare Hospital, Bengaluru ranges from ₹ 3.6 Lakhs to ₹ 4.8 Lakhs per year.
