Job Summary
This Clinical Pharmacist Officer job is based in Amravati and is open to individuals with 0-5 years of work experience. The function comprises distribution of medicines to hospital floors and wards, billing, stock and purchase register keeping, management of narcotic drugs, FEFO practices, handling of returned and expired medicines and quality improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities
Organize ward wise delivery as per the indents and ensure that medications are delivered to the floors of the hospital within the stipulated schedule.
Check quantity, batch number, expiry date and MRP. Complete billing before supply of drugs.
Maintain narcotic registers, stock and records relating to purchases, receipts and issues of medicines .
Store and organize medicines for simple retrieval.
Follow FEFO during issuance and ensuring outdated medicines are identified and discarded appropriately.
Proper control of narcotic and dangerous medications with needed authorizations, documentation and double-lock storage.
Maintain sufficient stocks of life saving medicines to meet emergency needs.
Educate doctors and nurses on the medicines available and advise the Pharmacy Manager on new medicine needs.
Assist Pharmacy Manager in answering questions from patients.
Returned drugs should be intact and unopened before being returned to stock.
Maintain cleanliness in Pharmacy department and engage in Quality Improvement Initiatives and organizational policies.

The post requires 0 to 5 years of work experience.
Skills Required
Ability to control medicine inventory, stock levels and storage properly.
Accurately verifying of pharmaceutical quantity, batch number, expiry date, MRP during the billing and distribution.
Knowledge of processes for handling, authorizing, documenting, and securely storing narcotic and dangerous drugs.
Good record-keeping skills in respect of purchases, receipts, pharmaceutical concerns and narcotic registries.
Ability to discuss availability and requirements of medicines with doctors, nurses, patients and Pharmacy Manager .
Attention to hygiene, quality related processes and drug storage condition.
Salary Structure
The salary range for this Officer-Pharmacy position in Amravati is ₹4-5 Lakhs per year on an average.
