Job Summary
The Duty Medical Officer role is a contract position at the IIT Hyderabad campus hospital. The job is for an initial period of 11 months, with a chance of extension based on performance. The officer will handle patient care duties. The officer will work day and night shifts. Also cover weekend and holiday shifts. The officer role suits medical graduates and doctors with some experience.
Key Responsibilities
Provide care and attend to patients who visit the campus hospital ensuring quality medical care for each patient.
Handle duty shifts during the day at night and on weekends or holidays staying ready to provide care whenever needed.
Work up, to 48 hours a week according to the duty schedule giving care as required. Support outpatient treatment and respond during medical emergencies on campus.
Stay reachable for emergency cases, especially if living near the campus.
Follow hospital procedures and maintain proper patient records.
Coordinate with other hospital staff to ensure smooth patient care.
Educational Qualification and Skills
MBBS degree along with a completed internship.
Must be registered with the Medical Council.
At least one year of experience after qualifying is preferred, though new graduates can also apply.
Good clinical. The ability to stay calm in emergency situations.
Strong communication skills to interact with patients and, with hospital staff.
A willingness to work hours, including night shifts and weekends.
Must provide internship and medical registration certificates during the application process.
Salary Structure
The Consolidated Remuneration (per month) for Duty Medical Officer is ₹60,000 per month.
