Role Overview
This recruitment is for medical professionals who will serve in the Central Armed Police Forces and Assam Rifles. The selected medical officer can be posted in India or abroad depending on what the organization needs. The job of each officer is to give quality medical care inside the CAPF or Assam Rifles units and to meet all required medical, physical, professional and service standards.
Eligibility Highlights
Super Specialist Medical Officer
MBBS or a medical qualification that is recognized.
Registration with MCI, NMC or the State Medical Council.
Must have finished the rotating internship.
Must possess a postgraduate qualification.
DM, M.Ch. Or a super‑specialization that is equivalent.
Required experience in the super‑specialty.
Specialist Medical Officer
Have a recognized qualification.
Must have medical registration.
Medical officer must have finished the rotating internship.
Possess a postgraduate degree or diploma.
Meet the required post‑PG experience.
Medical Officer
Recognized allopathic medical qualification.
Medical officer must have registration with MCI, NMC or the State Medical Council.
Have finished the rotating internship.
Medical officer candidates who are still in internship may apply,. The internship must be finished before the appointment.
Age Limits
The age limit for a Super Specialist Medical Officer is up to 50 years.
The age limit for a Specialist Medical Officer is up to 40 years.
The age limit for a Medical Officer is up to 30 years.
Additional age relaxations are available for categories like SC, ST, OBC‑NCL and for some government or armed forces personnel.
Selection Process
The selection process includes the following steps: application, documentation, interview, Physical Standard Test (PST) and Medical Examination Test (MET). The medical officer candidates who are called for the process must bring educational, internship, registration, identity and category certificates along with self‑attested copies.
Important Documents
Matriculation or 10th grade certificate is needed for proof of date of birth.
Medical qualification certificate is required.
Internship completion or ongoing certificate is needed.
MCI, NMC or State Medical Council registration certificate is required.
SC, ST, OBC‑NCL or EWS certificate is required where applicable.
Government employee NOC is required where applicable.
Ex‑servicemen discharge certificate is required where applicable.
Domicile or identity proof is needed.
Any other certificates that are mentioned in the advertisement are required.

Salary Structure
- Medical Officer: Assistant Commandant, Pay Level 10, with a basic pay scale of ₹56,100–₹1,77,500 per month.
- Specialist Medical Officer: Deputy Commandant, Pay Level 11, with a basic pay scale of ₹67,700–₹2,08,700 per month.
- Super Specialist Medical Officer: Second-in-Command, Pay Level 12, with a basic pay scale of ₹78,800–₹2,09,200 per month.
Additional Benefits
In addition to basic pay, selected officers are entitled to the following applicable:
Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA)
Dearness Allowance (DA)
House Rent Allowance (HRA)
Transport Allowance
Other admissible Central Government/CAPF allowances.
Career Salary Progression
For Medical Officers, the career progression can move from Level 10 → Level 11 → Level 12 → Level 13 → Level 13A → Level 14, subject to the applicable Dynamic Assured Career Progression (DACP) provisions and service requirements.
