Job Summary
This is a contractual Medical Officer, MBBS position, open across several National Health Mission programmes in Prayagraj. As a Medical Officer, you will provide clinical care under the programme you are assigned to, such as child health, telemedicine, urban primary health centres, or non communicable disease clinics. The role is filled through walk in interviews and offers a fixed monthly honorarium based on the programme.
Key Responsibilities
Provide medical care to patients under the assigned NHM programme.
Support clinical services at SNCU, urban PHCs, or general physician clinics, based on the post.
Assist with telemedicine consultations under the CP Telemedicine programme, if assigned.
Support non communicable disease screening and treatment under the NP NCD programme.
Maintain accurate patient records and required documentation.
Follow all applicable government health guidelines and protocols.
Coordinate with other health staff to ensure smooth patient care.
Report clinical outcomes and support related administrative tasks as required.
Educational Qualification
MBBS degree, registered with the Medical Council of India or the Uttar Pradesh Medical Council.
Prior work experience is preferred for select programmes, such as NUHM postings.
Skills Required

Terms and Conditions of Appointment
1. Walk-in Interview Schedule
The walk-in interviews for all the above posts will be conducted by a committee approved by the competent authority.
Dates: 28 September 2026 to 29 September 2026
Time: 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, or until the completion of the interview
Venue: Auditorium Hall, Office of the Chief Medical Officer, Prayagraj Campus.
2. Documents Required for the Interview
Interested candidates must attend the interview on the scheduled date with the following documents:
Latest CV/Biodata.
All required original documents.
Registration certificate.
Two recent colour photographs.
Two self-attested sets of photocopies of all required certificates and documents.
Completed application form obtained from prayagraj.nic.in or the Office of the Chief Medical Officer, Prayagraj.
3. Nature of Appointment
The posts are purely contractual and will be governed by the prescribed contractual terms and fixed honorarium.
No claim for permanent appointment or regularisation will be accepted.
The appointment is not against any regular government post.
The number of vacancies and the honorarium may be changed at any stage of the recruitment process.
The District Health Committee, Prayagraj, reserves the right to cancel the advertisement without assigning any reason.
4. Duration of Appointment
The appointment to the above posts will remain valid until 31 March 2027.
The appointment may be extended only after approval from the Government of India.
The number of posts may be increased or decreased according to the instructions received or the availability of vacancies.
5. Interview-Related Information
Further information regarding the interview will be communicated separately through the email ID provided in the application form or through advertisements published in newspapers.
6. No Travel Allowance
No travel allowance (TA) will be payable for attending the interview.
7. Age Limit
The age of the interested candidate must not exceed 65 years as on the date of publication of the advertisement.
8. Reservation Policy
The recruitment process will be conducted in accordance with the reservation policy applicable under the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
9. Termination of Contract
If any adverse or unfavourable facts are found, the District Health Committee, Prayagraj / National Health Mission, Uttar Pradesh, will have the right to terminate the contract or service of the selected candidate by providing one month's notice or an amount equivalent to one month's salary in lieu of notice.
10. Jurisdiction
In the event of any dispute, the jurisdiction of the court shall be Prayagraj district.
