Job Summary
Pharmacovigilance Executive role includes working on Individual Case Safety Reports (ICSRs) and making sure that there is proper processing of safety data. This job description entails processing adverse event cases in the safety databases such as Argus, ARISg, or LSMV.
This particular job requires an individual who is analytical, detail-oriented, and able to manage safety data. It is the job of the individual to contribute towards the maintenance of global pharmacovigilance standards and ensure that there is proper handling of safety data.
This job is ideal for individuals with previous work experience in ICSR case processing.
Key Responsibilities
ICSRs will be reviewed, evaluated, and processed in accordance with the standard operating procedures and guidelines.
This implies that the individual will have to access databases for safety, such as:
Argus
ARISg, or
LSMV
And input, code, and validate adverse event reports.
The candidate will have to do all the steps in the case handling procedure, including:
Inputting
Coding
Validation, and
Closing the case
The candidate will have to analyze complex safety data. They have to ensure that the report is complete, accurate, and consistent.
The position involves following pharmacovigilance processes, policies, and compliance guidelines at a global and local level.
The individual will conduct follow-ups on all unfinished cases to ensure that the data collected is accurate.
The individual will be actively involved in process improvement, contributing to new safety systems and processes.
The role requires high standards and promptness as far as case processing and submission are concerned.
The individual will be required to work as part of the team for smooth workflow and task completion.
The job requires an individual who can contribute towards a performance-oriented environment with productivity and quality.
Qualifications and Skills
Education: B.Pharm or M.Pharm
Experience:
1 to 6 years in pharmacovigilance
1 year of experience in ICSR case processing
Knowledge of safety databases like Argus, ARISg, or LSMV.
It is necessary to possess a good understanding of pharmacovigilance, adverse event reporting, and regulatory guidelines.
The individual must be able to perform analysis of medical and safety data.
Effective communication skills (written and oral) are necessary for effective teamwork and documentation.
The individual must be detail-oriented and organized.
The person must be able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
