Job Summary  

This job is located at an Apollo Pharmacy store. The main duties include dealing with prescriptions, helping customers, and keeping track of the medicines. As a pharmacist, you will prepare prescriptions correctly, talk to people about their medicines, and make sure the medicines are stored properly. You will also answer phone calls from customers, handle money at the checkout, and keep the stock of all types of medicines in order and easy to find.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Attend to doctors' prescriptions at the sales counter and give advice to patients about the dosage.

  • Give out medicines according to the prescription. Get items that are not available from the in-house pharmacies.

  • Talk to the doctor before changing any medicine that was prescribed.

  • Check the medicines that are given out against the bill for the name, the amount, and the expiry date.

  • Help patients and customers with health issues. Talk about medication reactions.

  • Keep connections with customers and doctors.

  • Keep the free home delivery register.

  • Take calls about drug information, patient help, and delivery orders.

  • Handle billing counter cash when required.

  • Store medicines properly, following cold chain and security guidelines.

  • Enter stock details into the system and cross-check with store issue lists.

  • Maintain records of out-of-stock items and follow up accordingly.

  • Carry out physical stock checks twice a week across all medicine categories.

  • Verify fast-moving items daily, rack by rack.

  • Ensure proper shift handover before leaving the work area.

  • Focus on sales and work toward achieving pharmacy targets.

  • Check quantity, MRP, batch number, and expiry date of received stock.

  • Support general bill management tasks.

  • Take up other duties assigned by the in-charge, as needed.

Educational Qualification 

  • D.Pharm, B.Pharm, or M.Pharm, registered with the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).

Skills Required 

  • Freshers are welcome, along with candidates with relevant pharmacy retail experience up to supervisor level.

  • Updated knowledge of commercial drugs.

  • Strong skills in prescription handling.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
