Job Summary

Sanofi is currently looking for a Scientific Writer for its Business Operations group in Hyderabad. The job entails generating scientifically sound communication and excellent written content along with assisting in publication planning and medical education activities.

This position will require working in close collaboration with the various stakeholders from all over the world, including medical groups and healthcare professionals, to produce scientifically correct and compliant deliverables.

The role requires strong writing skills and subject matter understanding. The ideal candidate should be able to handle multiple projects within given deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Create scientific and medical content, which includes but is not limited to presentations, abstracts, posters, and manuscripts. All these deliverables need to be made up to the standards and delivered in accordance with the deadlines. Provide assistance in all publication and medical education content creation, which includes documentation and the approval process through various systems like PromoMats and iEnvision.

Establish effective working relationships with internal clients and the scientific-medical community. Work together with healthcare professionals on publication content creation and ensure scientific accuracy. Help other team members share knowledge and gain expertise.

Contribute to publication planning activities by analyzing content needs and assisting in developing publication strategy. Perform publication need analysis and help implement publication plans in selected therapeutic areas and geographical regions.

Build expertise in the therapeutic areas that you are allotted. Help in developing the initiatives related to medical communications and support the development of scientific documents. Keep improving the quality of content developed based on feedback and changing needs.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams that include product managers, MSLs, and medical departments to develop tailor-made deliverables. Collaborate with external agencies to provide timely and quality output as per standard processes. Ensure adherence to the internal and regulatory guidelines.

Qualification and Skill Requirement

  • Education: Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or any related discipline, or a medical degree.

  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in scientific writing, medical communication, or health care content development (either from industry or academic sector).

The candidates must have excellent writing and content development capabilities. The candidates having experience in publishing documents, the submission process, and medical education material are preferred. Domain expertise and knowledge of therapeutic areas are an added advantage for the candidates.

The candidate must possess exceptional written and oral communication abilities in the English language. The candidate must have excellent stakeholder management skills.

The candidate must be able to work independently and in a team. The candidate must have good organizational skills. Ability to handle multiple projects at a time is a plus.
